You know you’re immature when you insist on bringing Heinz ketchup to a fancy sushi dinner just to make a stubborn point to your partner. You also know you’re not a good partner if your gifts to your significant other are really only things you like.
This thread was posted to Reddit’s r/AmITheA**hole subreddit by u/Familiar_Sign_3620, who opened up about what she believed was a totally acceptable gift. The problem is she’s a foodie and her boyfriend is aggressively not. We use the word aggressively quite literally, in this case. Her boyfriend will act out every time they go to a fancy restaurant. In an act that’s almost egregious as this incident, he once insisted on ordering his steak well done with, you guessed it, ketchup.
Ok so food stuff aside, these two clearly need to start respecting their individual interests more and not forcing things on each other. It’s an important lesson all couples need to learn, but these folks seem a bit too aggressive with one another at this point…who knows if they’re able to actually be mature now?
