Meet Kusa, an adorable Maine Coon Cat that is one heck of an internet sensation. Her kitty mommy Chas uploads a ton of plant and animal content to her cute Instagram page (@through.the.lleaves). She recently uploaded an adorable video of one of her cats, Kusa — showing how much she has grown in the past 9 months. Let us tell you that our jaws were on the floor! We were totally shocked at how big this cute critter kept getting, and the funniest part is that she’s not even close to done growing!
In fact, Maine Coon cats can continue getting bigger for years — up to five, to be exact. That is a long time! They have a large physical and very regal presence, much like a lion or a tiger. They actually believed to be directly descended from Norwegian Forest Cats. We know for sure though that they originated in Wiscasset (Maine) in the 1800s. They lived in the wilderness for many years, so they have thick shaggy fur, to keep them especially warm. Main Coons are gentle, yet energetic, and make a great pet.
