Here is yet another example of how teachers are heroes! This thread was posted to Reddit’s r/MaliciousCompliance subreddit by u/wuddee30, a teacher who was told that their school was now imposing a photocopying limit in an effort to be eco-friendly. Here’s the thing, though. We are pretty certain that there are a number of much wiser ways to be “green” than blame it on teachers for needing to make enough copies of tests and course materials for their students. There is no way that this was the best solution.
Luckily, this teacher found a loophole by discovering that printing however many copies were necessary was not being monitored, whereas the photocopy machine was. You all know what that means…cue malicious compliance!
