It used to be that every 100 years, a smol kitten was born in Catlandia, of seemingly normal cuteness levels at first, that is until it reached cathood and became too cute to contain.
This cat’s cuteness would grow and grow, attracting the attention of hundreds, then thousands, and then millions of feline friends, all doting on it. In doing so, these cats would also shirk their responsibilities to the extreme, causing chain reactions that would cause general chaos to emerge soon after. Recognizing the problem, a secret order of meownks figured out how to determine exactly where and who the next abnormally cute cat would be, and chose to protect it and the world by taking it under their protection whenever it should arise.
