Today, Meowlandia’s Meow City is a sprawling metropolis and a beacon of hope for all the fangtastic felines around the world. One hundred years ago, this was not the case. Back then, things were dire in Meowlandia, and Meow City had it the worst. Numerous disasters, natural and industrial occurred in the city, which lead to a major lack in the workforce and plenty of stray kittens, leading to a general depression amongst the catizens.
To combat these problems, the royal court came up with the ‘You’ve Gotta Be Kitten Me’, a directive that would make every eligible Meowlandian catizen responsible for one of the many kittens around. These cuddly kittens would learn their adoptive family’s ways and get an education, food, and caring home. With these kittens in loving homes and the people’s attention focused on their cuteness, the Depression was lifted and Meowlandia took its first steps to become the ameowzing Utopia that it now is.
