The moral of this story is to be nice to everyone because you never know who you’ll end up working for. Look, I get it. There are people I work with that I’d rather never see again. But life is arguably pretty long, and you might be surprised at who you’ll potentially work with, or rather, beneath. OP had one of those supervisor’s who simply despised him. Maybe he reminded her of an ex-boyfriend, or maybe she was jealous. I’m gonna vote on the latter, as OP was extremely good at his job, despite the fact that his supervisor was constantly trying to sabotage his work. Eventually, OP was fed up with her antics and got a promotion at a different location.
She, on the other hand, wasn’t getting promoted at all. Throughout the years, many management teams called OP up as a reference to how she had been while she’d worked with him. OP snatched up the opportunity to tell them the truth: she was as awful as she was unproductive. Then, another opportunity arose… this time, to get his former supervisor fired.
